A pattern shift leads to???

The forecast for early next week looks interesting . I even saw an amount on Accuweather (6 inches), and this far out the forecasts tend to be conservative. This one could be the one we snow-lovers have been waiting for!

BTW: My second favortie NWS geek, Rosa, wrote pure poetry on the forecast discussion this morning:

LONG TERM (FRI-WED)

OP MODELS AND ENSEMBLE GUIDANCE CONTINUE TO INDICATE THE POTENTIAL
FOR A SIG WINTER STORM TO IMPACT THE REGION MOST LIKELY DURING THE
MON NIGHT-TUE TIME FRAME ALTHOUGH SIG DIFFERENCES ARE STILL NOTED
WITH RESPECT TO THE TRACK OF THIS SYSTEM. HOWEVER...TREND IN THE
MODELS ESPECIALLY ECMWF IS FOR A TRACK FURTHER TO THE NORTH WHICH
INCREASES THE POTENTIAL FOR MIXED PRECIP FOR OUR SRN MOST COUNTIES.
HAVE INTRODUCED GENERIC RAIN/SNOW WORDING TO SRN COUNTIES FROM
HIGHLAND COUNTY EAST THRU CHO/EZF AND ST MARYS COUNTY FOR THE THREAT
OF MIXED PRECIP. WEEKEND LOOKS RELATIVELY WARM WITH TEMPS GETTING
INTO THE MID AND UPPER 30S.

Rosa is second only Woody - who always signs his name as such:

WOODY!

I always thing of dick when I see his name signed like that....Besides being a bombastic, almost Wagnerian, in his writing - WOODY! has a sense of humor and, perhaps, might he belong to the tribe? Any of you gay weather geeks got the skinny?
