Saharan dusts

This is a nice image from a satellite over the Atlantic Ocean showing the dust storms that blow with the prevailing winds off of the coast of Africa and into the tropical Atlantic. These dust storms have the fortunate side effect of seeding clouds and scientists at U Wisconsin Madison have recently suggested that more dust correlates with fewer Atlantic hurricanes.
